Hellow,
I installed Kodi 17.0-ALPHA1 on a machine running lubuntu 14.01 distro.Installation worked fine with no errors but the text from the interface button has dissapeared.Any ideas of what is the problem and how to solve it?.

why using kodi 17? Frick 16 isnt even out yet. Have you tried kodi 16?

Team kodi would like to have a Debug Log, cause without a Debug Log we have to invest immense amount of time to ask back and forth. Discussing issues without Debug Log is like playing darts without seeing the dart board.

follow this link: Debug Log

to get the logfile fritsch asked for. That's the best you could do at the moment to get your issue solved. And the best..as Kodi 17 is in alpha state, you probably found a bug and you help things getting better, So provide the log please, and then the issue might be fixed.

After you provided the log, and if it can't be fixed for the moment, we could easily help you to get a different kodi version. But please, get us the log first.

you should update the drivers for your Nvidia card. its giving some weird values
