Droid phone, Harmony One or, a dedicated remote?
#1
Looking for opinions on the best way to control kodi from the couch, I have a droid and a harmony one, not sure whats best to control it with. Also what will I need if I use one of these for a remote? IR / Blutooth receivers? Is there cheap ones that will work?

An android phone just needs to be on the same LAN as kodi, no extra hardware.

For a harmony you will need an ir receiver, flirc is reputedly good.

I like Flirc, but it seems a little expensive for what it is.

I use the ir receiver on this $10 remote. It works great with an Amazon Fire tv running kodi and harmony remote. I'm not sure what other hardware platforms it works with.
