Hi all,
Brand new to this forum, hoping someone has any ideas that can help. I am running Kodi on iPhone 6 Plus iOS 9. I have an AirPort Extreme setup at home with a hard drive attached that is accessible through afp remotely (have access working through the iFiles application without any issues). I have stored all my music on the hard drive and wanted to add the music folder as a share to Kodi on the iPhone to work remotely. The problem is that I cannot set it up to access remotely (not on the local network when I'm out of the house). I know the afp protocol is no recommended on Kodi and isn't even an option for network locations. Not sure if SMB would be a better option. Wanted to find out if anyone has tried this and got it working. I've looked through other threads but haven't found anything that's on this point. If I missed a thread please let me know.
