Hi

I have an RPi2 running OpenELEC that I have been using for about 6 months now.
Approximately half of the time that I turn on the Pi Kodi fails to load. It shows the OpenELEC boot screen and then when that disappears, it shows only a blank screen (black but backlit). This occurs randomly and after enough restarts Kodi loads fine. Sometimes it even loads the first time. Once Kodi is loaded, however, it runs perfectly.

When the problem occurs I can ssh into the Pi and manually restart Kodi with terminal and it works fine. So OpenELEC is definitely running.

Funny thing is when I installed OSMC on a different SD card the exact same thing happens. OSMC boot screen followed by blank screen indefinitely.

So it isn't an OpenELEC-only issue, but I was hoping anyone might know what is the problem.

I have tried 3 different power supplies and also unplugged all the non-essentials from my Pi but it makes no difference.

Any ideas?

The log it's unreachable........ i have read your post because i have a similar problems whit my OSMC installed on my Pi2 but my sometimes remain freeze when Kodi appears on TV and i need to restart.

Looks like there is some problem synching display, perhaps the pi boots a little too fast for the TV to sync. Try putting a sleep command in the auto start script http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php?title=Autostart.sh

Debug log may show more useful informations.
I suggest you enable debug logging when it starts, reboot and try to reproduce and then upload log again.

Yeah.... now it's readable but my it's a different problems. and when my Pi2 fail boot the log it's different......
