Hello,

i've been playing with Kodi these last 3 days, very nice, congtratulations !

However, i'm missing an essential feature : the ability to embed a third party software within the Kodi interface, here are my thoughts :
- Be able to add menu vidéo > netflix OR Program> Skype
- Would launch the "Associated exe" within the "kodi window"
- Ability to map remote keys to special keys for the embedded application (for instance, stop button would launch ctrl+H for skype (hang up))

Note : i'm running Kodi on windows.

A long time ago, i developed a htpc software (Domotix) and it was one of the most important feature, i'm pretty sure that i missed that part for Kodi and it exists somwhere

you can already launch external programs, but not within kodi. It will launch outside of it. Search the forum for e.g. advanced launcher.

Mapping remote keys to something your external program understands must be done on the OS level, so windows in your case.
