I use kodi on Ubuntu and I have a prob. When I exit kodi, it takes forever to exit. So someone suggested me to change the script of the exit button. Now I went to the DialogButtonMenu.xml file and saw the exit button. It said <onclick>Quit(). I would instead like to run a terminal command when I click the exit button. Any solutions?

It's more likely that either some add-on(s) or some setting (eg using a MySQL database) is writing stuff or closing stuff when you exit which can take some time. It may be better to review what you have installed and running and perhaps streamline things.

If you start force closing things you could bring on issues.
