Using KODI as a backend server on a NAS
#1
Hi

I just got my new Asustor NAS and I'm want to setup KODI as a backend server so that I can keep a central media database and share all the media to my other devices on the network.

I don't need help (yet) with the sharing bit but is there anyway of remotely managing the KODI install on the NAS?

As I don't have a monitor plugged into the NAS and I don't want to go down to the basement every time I need to make a change on KODI.

Thanks in advance

To save me writing loads...

have a read here.

Then stick a mysql server on your NAS (assuming you can).
Kodi as a backend isn't a great idea.

Thanks. MySQL is available on my NAS so I'll have a read and give it a go.
