64 bit or 32 bit?
#1
Hello,
I am currently building a small fanless HTPC. I am going to use it primarily for media/kodi but I will be doing some light gaming on it. Because it is fanless would it be a better idea to install windows 10 32 bit for less heat build up? Would I be missing any features of windows if I used 32 bit vs 64? The system will only have 4gb of ram.
Thank you

Considering there is no Kodi 64bit build, no point factoring this into your decision. Also this isn't a hardware forum so not really the right place for that.

32 bit is is an orphan. I see no reason to install it, unless your processor can't handle 64 bits. And there can be advantages running 32 bit apps on a 64 bit OS, though probably not for Kodi.

64 bit won't make your machine run any hotter or cooler than 32bit. o.O

It makes no noticeable difference to heat dissipation running 32-Bit or 64-Bit on your Windows box.
