The menu support built in is HDMV but I've never seen a retail Blu-Ray that uses this type of menu as they all seem to use the currently unsupported BD-J menus, so I've not personally ever seen a working example of HDMV in Kodi.

All Blu-Ray authoring tools should support HDMV.

This is completely wrong Tongue There are a lot of discs wihtout bd-j, see http://www.blu-raystats.com/Stats/FeatureStats.php for example.
All my blurays with hdmv work with kodi, albeit there might be a problem with dts-hd and true-hd.

Personally I've never seen a retail disk with HDMV but then I don't have a lot of Blu-Ray's, and had read somewhere that BD-J was the more common menu type, so apologies for any misinformation.

Glad to hear the HDMV is working though.

That bit I did get right, Kodi only has HDMV support built in, and by that I mean mainline Kodi as contained in Kodi Master branch, Ace has been working on BD-J support and he has test builds available with BD-J support enabled.

DVD uses something else completely different I believe, Ace might know more on this.

Everything you can do with dvd menus you can do with hdmv too. You can find more details on page 7 there: http://blu-raydisc.com/Assets/Downloadab...-15496.pdf
