Ok, so I should do a factory reset and sideload everything again and I shouldn't have this problem correct? Any other apps that are key?

Basically, you need to downgrade from your current Kodi 17 build to at least Kodi 16 or Kodi 15.2.

If you're looking to install Kodi 16, have a look at the list of compatible skins posted above by DarrenHill and check to see that your preferred skin is listed there. If not, you should install Kodi 15.2.
