Hello,

I have a Himedia H8 Player with Kodi 15.2 just running fine on it. There were some features that i was missing so I tried Jarvis 16 RC3 - when i first startup the version everything just runs fine and smooth. i can easily acess my synology like i was used to. the new features that were introduced with Kodi 16 are great.

My problem ist, that as soon as i colso Kodi and want to start up again all letters are washed and like some kind of freeze - i can still navigate and acess menues by guessing what the menue says but you can't read anything anymore. If i for instance then change the skin for a sec or language it starts working fine again - but as soon as i close Kodi the next time it will do the same thing while starting. i don't get it and wonder what that could be. Weird that i chance skin or language it works again

Sorry for my bad english but i'm from Germany and it's just not my mother tongue

I hope to get some information here cause i really enjoy Kodi 16 RC3 if there wouldn't be this strange display letter freeze

yeap, I have the Kodi RC3 on shield tv and kodi freezes the whole shield, I have to unplug the device

I experienced a lot of freezes with Shield TV (3.0) and Kodi Jarvis. Never happened with Shield 3.0 and Kodi 15.2.

I disabled (set to None) the Kodi internal Screen Saver (Dim by default) and the freezes are gone. So just give it a try
