After a good run of pretty much flawless operation, I've had the same or similar problem occur four times over three days. Occurrence number one was just as a video had finished playing and Kodi was redrawing the GUI. Subsequent occurrences were in the middle of different videos. In all cases the screen froze and became unresponsive to the keyboard.

I rebooted the device from my computer on the first two occasions after five minutes or so. Occurrence three locked the video up for a short time (thirty seconds?) and Kodi returned to the GUI. I resumed the video and got occurrence number soon after. Kodi again returned to the GUI after a short lockup.

Yep. Did that. Actually BASIL is very sluggish right now. That may be the place to start. I might have to set up an alternative file server and compare. One final one if you want to look. Another freeze in video playback.
