hi, apologies for raising this issue if previously raised, running kodi 14.2 on windows 7 and everything working fine until today. I was getting ''error initializing exiting'' message when tryng to get on kodi, so uninstalled and installed newer version but still getting the same error message. is it kodi or my laptop that needs attention? cheers

Possibilities:
1 some driver update
2 profile.xml got corrupted (find it in userdata and move it out of the way)
3 guisettings.xml got corrupted (find it in userdata and move it out of the way)
4 start with the ones above and we'll see whats next

Your userdata folder is not in the kodi directory just incase.
?:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\Userdata
Replace ? with drive letter and Username with yours
