I have all my movies in their own individual folder. I would like to switch to having all the movie files in one common folder.

How can I go about this without losing watched/unwatched status?

I dont think this is possible and to be honest its better imho to have seperate folders then your extrafanart or suchlike is stored in each seperate folder.

You would have to first backup your watched status using one of the methods mentioned here: http://kodi.wiki/view/Backup#Watch_status_only

Then you would recreate the library from scratch (or just scan and then "clean library" to get rid of the old entries"), then restore the watch status (depending on what method you used).
