Kodi doesn't recognize external subtitles when streaming through http. Hope this feature will be available in the future!

Unsure on implementation, sub file could be assigned a temp local path and clean up after stream close?

As a workaround you could setup vlc external player?

Got the same problem here, and would love a fix.
I'm thinking about just chaning the pice of code that aborts in case of a internetstream, but unsure of ramifications.
Guessing it would try to find subs when watching youtube etc also, that would not be good.

I'll give it a try when I find the time.
