Video Playback >2gb files - via FTP
#1
Hi, I don´t know if this is only me, but I have a ftp server and I´ve tried to play different movies and I only had luck with files under 2gb. Is it some kind of limitation?

I´ve tried it in android too and I´ve encountered the same problem.

I add the repository from Videos - Files - using this format: ftp://user:pass@ftpaddress:port

Thanks for your help!!

You cannot download files that are 2 GB or larger :

This might not be it but could take you in the right direction.

Thanks for the reply, I don´t think that is the problem here... >2gb files limitation was years ago...
Microsoft is talking about internet explorer version 6
IBM is another not related post
And I have Owncloud and you only change that in the configuration.

I use another mediaplayers to play the files from the same ftp with files larger than 2GB that´s why I think it´s kodi related with this kind of file transfer.

Thanks

have you tried setting this up outwith kodi then accessing it within kodi it tends to work perfectly.
