great idea. i like this. very cool idea. and it wouldnt be too hard, considering a lot of sites use scripts to post scores.

there aren't many python coders around so you are unlikely to get someone to do it for you, but if you can give me a specific site to grab from i'll have a crack at it.

i think a rss viewer script would still be useful. the built-in rss viewer only takes one feed and you have to wait for the scrolling to read the entire feed. it would be nice to allow multiple feeds and make it selectable.

i am in the process of learn python, so i might take a stab at it. it looks like i will need a module to pull the rss file from the web, then another module to parse the xml, and then code to display. what issues did you run into?

man, that's all i want in xbmc now. a sports section. whether it be my sports or a good rss feed, i don't care. a lot of the feeds i've tried don't work worth a crap.

the rss sports feed suck. i've been digging all day... nothin.

as far as grabbing sports news, it aint gunna happen. all i want is a scrolling sports ticker rss feed
