Kodi 16 RC3 - Need help to setup Timer with keyword search
#1
Question
Trying to setup a timer to record 2 programs – namely This Old House and Ask This Old House. They are PBS programs broadcast in multiple PBS stations and in different time schedules. When I setup a timer with keyword “old house” for any date and any channels, it will not record any program. The timer will work if I just use the keyword “house”; but it will record any program with the word house in the title or description.

Running Kodi 16 RC3 with NPVR 3.6.6

Do you see the same behaviour if you try it directly in NextPVR? ie, is it a problem in NextPVR itself, or the Kodi NextPVR addon?

I think I found the issue. The program seemed to be in Kodi side. When I setup the Keyword in NextPVR, it works as it is expected. When I setup a timer in Kodi with the same keyword, it does not work. Then I check the schedule in NextPVR in which it was imported by Kodi for this keyword timer.

The keyword field showed Old%20House rather than Old House. There is %20 in between the words. I think %20 is the space encoding.

Not sure where to submit this bug to Kodi team?

It'll be easier for me to fix it on the NextPVR side than in the Kodi addon.

I've made a change for the next release of NextPVR (3.7.x) to correct this.
