Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help, I have a zip file addon that I have on a shared file server that I want to access through kodi,
I have gone to the normal file manager and add source and put the url address of the fileserver.

Something like this http://test.webhop.org/repo

And I have the repo zip file in the repo folder.
The source adds and if I go into addons and install from zip, the file path is there what I named it but when I click on it there is nothing there.

Am I doing something wrong??

Describing your problem with theoretical zip files and repositories not give anybody any relevant information to help you with. Provide a debug log and actual links to the files.

Yes Sorry,

I want to store addons and plugins on a remote file server so that I can go into file manager and type in the url of my file server and access the zip files so I can install them.
If I access the files through Kodi, for some reason the zip file doesn't show, but if I enter the url through a web browser it takes me to the zip files.

So my problem is that Kodi isn't recognise the zip file through file manager.
