Linux Lock Preferences for smb not saving
#1
Hi,

Ubuntu with kodi 16.0

http://pastebin.com/1A0j7j3i

All on same computer, hdd_2 is full, so make link in hdd_6 and copies the link to hdd_2, link works fine in nautulis. Kodi keeps asking for user:pass, i enter it and nothing happens, keeps asking for user:pass. I tried sharing the folder, even with guest access still nothing.

How to fix?
Thanks,

very similar problem here. Folder on Windows 7 box on local network shared to user "MEDIA".

Linux box running Mint 17.3 and Kodi 16.1 RC. Nemo connects to that share just fine, with username and password.

Trying to connect to it on Kodi through Files/Add Videos/Browse/Windows Network (SMB), I can see the workgroup and the Windows machine, but then kodi asks me for username/pw, repeating in an endless loop.

The maddening thing is that it worked fine the very first time I tried it (I even checked the box to remember the pw).

Here's the log:
