Release MLB.TV®
#61
I can see the Eracnaphobia repo, I get the error when I try to open it.

I am trying to run it on a Phillips Android TV with Lollipop 5.1.

I'm getting a Playback Failed when trying to play any game (live or archived). I'm a subscriber, and confirmed I can watch games on the website:

Any way there could be a Highlight or Recap section? Thanks, this is incredible!

Are your credentials correct? Looks like you aren't getting a valid stream returned. There should be a .m3u8 url before the "|User-Agent". Also the cookies parameter shouldn't be blank.

All the highlights and recaps I've found are tiny 10-30 second clips. Does anyone know of a place or device that offers full 3-5 minute highlights as one continuous video?

I tried it with KODI on a Boxee Box... It installed (showing up as an Add-on...), but when I start the Add-on it tells me "script failed"
Hm...

So, I managed to create and copy a log:

Hopefully help is possible now... ;-)

The old MLBMC Kodi Addon had this when you logged in. I'm not savvy enough to delve into the code, but I can sure try to find where he's getting his info. Tongue

Looks like it's pulling the highlights direct from the mlb.com website. Maybe from here. http://m.mlb.com/video/?game_pk=469578 (for example).

I figured out what the problem was - Initially, I used the wrong login credentials and then I switched them to the correct ones. It looks like the old cookie was saved, and the new correct one wasn't overwritten. I just deleted the cookies.lwp file, and restarted and it worked flawlessly. Thanks for your help!

Good to hear. I should probably put a logout option in the settings so people can clear the cookies file from within the add-on.

Have you tried an uninstall / re-install on the repository zip itself? Other than that a log file would help.

Nothing works for me. Have tried two different mlb account logins I have. Either nothing loads or I get a playback error cannot load. Pleas help!
On a side note your nhl addon works great! Thanks for your continued efforts.

I had the exact same problem. I tried uninstalling and re-installing multiple times. After I read this thread, I did another uninstall, and noticed that the mlb.tv user data wasn't removed on uninstallation. I deleted the user data, reinstalled the app, entered my CORRECT credentials, and everything is working!
Thanks for the help! Looking forward to seeing if this performs better then the MLB.TV app on my smart TV.

Ok so after deleting the cache file in the userdata of the app and re entering my credentials everything works! I think adding a delete cache option in the app would be ideal! Thanks to everyone.

On the website you can overlay different audio feeds over the video (Radio broadcast audio over the TV broadcast video). Would this be possible to implement in this addon as well? If so, that would be amazing!

Thanks!
I saw that but I haven't been able to figure out how they do it yet. If there are dedicated streams for each video / audio option then it will be doable.

You're a much better coder than you thought - Looks like you already are parsing the audio streams. If you go into the audio settings once a game is playing you can switch the audio stream. I think these are the radio broadcasts. Right now, however, they are all listed as 'Unknown' so it would be awesome to get the names on the streams. Additionally, it would be great to select the particular video/audio stream on game select.

Interesting, although I can't take the credit for that Kodi is doing most of the work for me Wink I'll look into refining this in the next release.
