Does it look like this in phpmyadmin? I still think it's a rights problem. User xbmc cant create a new DB. Please post a screenshot
You need to allow it localhost (on the same machine as MySQL runs) and locallan, any ip within your network.

If you can't find the error i could take a look via teamviewer.

HI I have solved it. At the end I reinstalled php and noticed the video and music databases were now back so all sorted. I also had the wrong dns ip address in the synology settings so changed that as i couldn't dial out so that may have been it as well.

Thanks for all the help now I can get on with the rest of the stuff i needed to do this weekend lol.

Reinstalling PHP was the fix o.O
DNS shouldn't have anything to do with MySQL in lan either.

At least it is working now.
