Hi all,

NPVR Client works like a dream, can play videos, music, live sat TV the lot BUT;

I can connect to the web server http://127.0.0.1:8866/Guide2.aspx as well so i don't understand why in my Kod log i get:

ERROR: ADDON: Dll NextPVR PVR Client - Client returned bad status (1) from Create and is not usable
WARNING: PVR::CPVRClients::UpdateAndInitialiseClients - failed to create add-on NextPVR PVR Client, status = 1ERROR: CCurlFile::FillBuffer - Failed: Couldn't resolve host name(6)
ERROR: CCurlFile::FillBuffer - Failed: Couldn't resolve host name(6)
ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 0 for http://127.0.0.1:8866/service?method=ses...evice=xbmc

Any ideas anyone; should i try the actual static IP rather than the local host i can use 192.168.0.2 or 192.168.2.2

Maybe your have firewall software that is blocking any network activity from kodi.exe?

Kodi and anything else i use is added to the exclusion list in avast along with the web addresses for Local network servers but i'll check it out thanks.

I've even disabled avast completely, i'm on win10 but i don't use any of the MS security stuff.

It seems the service it not automatically starting is this a general problem, the recording service is but is that it all is required?

Try putting only the IP Address in the nextPVR addon hostname configuration. So in your case it would be 227.0.0.1

Leave the port & pincode at their default values.
I also found that enabling time shift in the addon makes it work much better.

If you view http://127.0.0.1:8866/ in a web browser on your NextPVR machine, do you see the web server?

Yes and i've got it going only thing is i've done nothing not even a reboot! hmm
