Does anyone know of a list of smartphones that has support for HEVC decoding on the hardware level? Do kodi utilize this support on these phones?

Bump. No one knows of any smartphones with hevc hardware decoding? The only one I've found to have it is the Sony Xperia Z2.

According to this link (scroll down to "Snapdragon Processor Video Specs") there are several Snapdragon SoC which will playback HEVC like the Z2 which uses the Snapdragon 801.

As for Exynos at least the 7420 supports HEVC, and likely others. http://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/min...7octa_7420

All you need to do is search the name of a SoC company with HEVC or H.265.

iPhone 6S and later
Samsung Galaxy S7

the iphone 6s plays it but the videos ive found appear to be decoded via software because the phone gots HOT fast and loses battery fast (using infuse player)
