Using: Kodi 16.0 release, NextPVR add-on 1.12.8.

When I try to schedule a recording, more often than not I get "An unexpected error occurred, check the log, etc." Of course nothing is in the log. Attempting to schedule the same recording within the NPVR client itself works just fine and Kodi acknowledges it's been set up, but most of the time (not all of the time, and never when I need to actively repro the exact error, of course) it won't work.

Any ideas?

Essentially, to fix the problem, you need to update the nexpvr addon to 1.12.13. Unfortunately you can't do this by simply using the kodi addon update facility. Read my post in the above thread on how the npvr addon can be updated. It may pay to re-download and reinstall NPVR just to ensure you are running the absolute latest version.

Whilst it did the trick for me, I can't guarantee this will work for you. If it doesn't do the trick, you may need to enable debug logging in kodi to see what is going on.
