When using pvr.wmc and playing a recorded tv show (not live), does it use the standard buffering setting in advancesettings.xml or the pvr setting?

Not sure sorry, but what I can say is that ServerWMC is just providing the smb path to completed WTV file at recording list load time. When you actually play a recording Kodi is accessing these files directly, with no involvement from pvr.wmc/ServerWMC
