Tivo add-on?
#1
Assuming this is not possible, searched pretty good for it. I have been a Tivo junkie since 1999, cut the cable a LONG time ago. Would love to access my Tivo recordings via Kodi, is this possible? I know encryption is a huge issue obviously....thx...Scott

There was a Tivo file decoder one upon s time.

IMPORTANT:
The official Kodi version does not contain any content what so ever. This means that you should provide your own content from a local or remote storage location, DVD, Blu-Ray or any other media carrier that you own. Additionally Kodi allows you to install third-party plugins that may provide access to content that is freely available on the official content provider website. The watching or listening of illegal or pirated content which would otherwise need to be paid for is not endorsed or approved by Team Kodi.

Its very easy the encryption is not a problem you are legally allowed to decode it for your own use. Its part of your subscription called Tivotogo
Look in your tivo info page and it will give you the password to decode the files. Its called the media key.

Go download and install the software called kmttg on your pc. https://sourceforge.net/projects/kmttg/
You can then download all your shows convert them to standard mpeg 2 files. You can then move the files to KODI. I run a ftp server on my pc so I can move files over.

What we need is KODI plugin to duplicate what kmttg is doing.

They use a opensource decoder located here http://tivodecode.sourceforge.net/

The files are very easy to download to to the ip address of your tivo using https://192.168.0.x enter tivo as username and media key as password.
You can even add this url to kodi and let it scrap all the files but they would need to be decoded after downloading

Does the above program actually RE-ENCODE the tivo files or does it losslessly to MPEG2?

It will pull it over in the same type as it is on the tivo - you can also have it re-encode the file using ffmpeg
