Hi, I've recently gotten very interested in the Kodi video player and was curious if someone could redirect me or explain how the video player works? I've been looking at the code for a while now and was wondering if there's a flowchart or explanation of which code file a video file would start in and what happens to it to get it to play? Thank you in advance

From what I can figure out myself though, his advice is the best way to get started. Load the source into Eclipse (or your choice of IDE) and either run then pause or place a few breakpoints in pieces of code you are interested in then step through.

For that specific component there might be more info, maybe one of the devs will chime in with some advice
