Been using Kodi for a couple of years and really enjoy it! Kudos and thanks for this little gem!

Recently, I changed some hardware on my HTPC/Server in order to watch HEVC files because previous configuration wasn't powerful enough.
The new stuff is a Gigabyte H110M-S2HP with an i3-6100 Skylake and some DDR4 RAM running Win10-64.
Everything works fine with one exception: HEVC files with Kodi16.

Here are two images showing the problem, which is the staircases like lines.

Those 2 ''lines'' are static, they don't move, and are not visible all the time.

This problem doesn't occur with Kodi15.2, which I'm using now until a solution is found.
Tried HEVC files with SMPlayer and the image is fine.

On my main system, which is an MSI board with i5-2500k, DDR3 and AMD 7970, Kodi16 plays HEVC files just fine.
So in my mind there seems to be a relation between Kodi16 and Skylake CPU, that's the only thing I can think of.

Edit: Both the Intel HD530 and Radeon7970 are outputting video via HDMI.

Definitely more than the skylake cpu. I'm running a dual xenon board and I can't get kodi 16.x to play 10bit files correctly. I had to setup an external player for PotPlayer

Yeah! I've read an HowTo guide for replacing Kodi's internal player with MPC-HC but for now I'll just keep using Kodi15.2 as it is playing all my files without any problem.

I hope the next update of Kodi will resolve this little ''glitch''.
But honestly I would like to understand what causes this problem. Maybe an explanation will come out.

Found the solution from someone on the web.

Simply had to disable some enhancement under Video Settings in Intel HD Graphic Control Panel.
Sorry can't remember which setting to turn off - As soon as I got the problem solved I just forgot about it.
But the solution was there, at least in my case.
