Additional Notes
:

- User is abusing YouTube's terms of service by being present on YouTube for the sole purpose of promoting illegal movie piracy, pirating of sports and pay-per-view events. All of this user's videos explain to users how to illegally stream pirated content, and also infringe upon others' trademarks, including but not limited to that of Kodi. This account has engaged in online harassment and serves no good purpose on YouTube.

Edit by memphiz: - added a "." at the end of each link to invalidate them ...

While this is an admirable idea doesn't having a long list of these Youtuber's pages on our public forum make it even easier for people to come here and find them?
Always read the Wiki, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Read/follow the forum rules.

Yes. It would be better to at least de-link those URLs so that Google isn't giving them a higher ranking.

invalidated the links by adding a "." at the end of each.

I just removed the http part at the beginning and it removed the links, otherwise if people would have copied and pasted with the . at the end YouTube would have been confused.

I would focus on the more clear-cut cases. That's a video about a magazine they're making, and maybe the magazine has issues, but the video itself probably doesn't directly violate any ToS or trademark (I'm not a lawyer, so take that with a grain of salt).

I feel these people are doing an EXCELLENT service to those of us working people who are trying to get access to the free world and the Illuminati guys like the haters on here, are only for the rich guys getting richer. Maybe you should try some of the programs they help people to get and you probably wont hate on them so badly.

Get a life and let you tubers do their thing.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

There are three main points to this, at least to my personal viewpoint:

1) In many cases, these YouTube videos make over-use of the Kodi name and logo, with an implication that they are in some way official or sanctioned by the Foundation. This is not the case and is misleading.

2) In no case are they ever open and honest about the nature of the add-ons that they promote, namely that their sources are pirated material and illegal. It is preying on either the inexperience, lack of knowledge, gullibility or plain greed of the user base in mis-promoting something as being free and above board, which they are not, and indeed in some cases and locations could even get the end user into legal difficulties.

3) There is no distinction made between the core Kodi program (as a simple but extendable media player) and the third party add-ons. Hence people think that the Foundation makes, supports and is responsible for all of the add-ons that third parties may produce for it, be they legal and legitimate or otherwise. Hence they come here expecting support for everything, as can be evidenced by the overflowing garbage section and the frequent admissions of surprise and lack of knowledge when the true nature of what they are attempting to use is revealed to them.

Overall it's these points which lead us to dislike such videos. It is also such confusion which tarnishes the whole Kodi brand, and is parasitically killing it as the reputation of being "good for free TV channels and movies" has already led to us being thrown out of the Amazon app-store, and if unchecked could do further and larger damage. Plus it also significantly reduces the appeal to new (and indeed existing) developers to join the team and support/improve Kodi on the various devices, and without them the project is doomed.

The official line on it all is here. At that states, if users wish to use such add-ons, then that is entirely their choice. But the key point is that they are making that choice consciously and freely, in full understanding of what they are getting into and what may result from it. Both the majority of the YouTube videos and also the "fully loaded" box sellers partially or totally remove that choice and misrepresent the brand. It is slowly killing off Kodi, and that's why we act against it.

How about doing a simular thing for Google Play getting rid of the number of complete builds out here ?

like

https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...pguru.cksw
https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...nfigurator
https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...aid.update
https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...onexplorer
https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...mc_updater

the process is pretty simple

https://support.google.com/googleplay/an...ntent&rd=1

the more people reporting these builds the more pressure on google to remove those builds
