I have a related question where it would be great to get your help. MBZ Picard has a bug that - in some occasions - leads to Picard wiping the albumart when retagging files. I assume I may not be the only "music lover" troubled by this. Any chance you can have a look and comment: http://forums.musicbrainz.org/viewtopic.php?id=5339&p=2

Steve unfortunately I don't have time or energy to investigate Picard, do build from code etc. A work around could be to deal with art in another tool (Mp3tag for example) and turn off cover updates in Picard perhaps?

I note that the forum you linked to is now closed, also there are several tickets relating to cover art on their ticket system http://tickets.musicbrainz.org/browse/PI...nent/10070 but none specifically about the bug just an enhancement that has stalled. A new exact bug ticket may be a better place to raise it with them than the forum.

Thanks and of course fully understood. There actually is a very old ticket already (http://tickets.musicbrainz.org/browse/PICARD-257) and I have opened a new discussion in the new forum (https://community.metabrainz.org/t/re-ta...rt/39895/4). Issue is acknowledged and hopefully we will eventually see a fix.
