By using a PVR backend. Find a PVR backend that runs on your OS and supports your DVB tuner. Once you have your backend setup, then you can configure the appropriate PVR client in Kodi.

Okay, thanks for responding. Sorry, should have mentioned, I am running Windows 7.
Do I have to download an separate PVR or do I just use one of the ones built into Kodi 16?
How will I know if it supports my tuner? not sure how to set it up. I have the KWORLD USB ATSC Hybrid TV Stick (UB445-U)
I think the NextPVR supports it? I'll have to check when I get home

Okay, I'll give one of them a try. Thx.
Do you know if any of them can serve the OTA stream also so I can access the OTA channel from outside my network on the Internet?

You would need either a VPN client with appropriate head end (a lot of home routers support VPN) or you would need to port forward on the router to allow access to the PVR backend. VPN is more secure.
