I use eventghost, a macro application, to open my current media center program and access different folders such as TV, music, videos. When I turn on my TV, eventghost immediately brings up an OSD to let me choose which media type I want, and then it will immediately go to that one in the media center. I am now transitioning to kodi, and would like to know if I can something similar. I read that upon start up, kodi can be set to go directly to a particular folder by editing a certain XML file. However, is there a way to allow me to go directly to more than one folder, based on what selection I make in the OSD, instead of the same one every time? I'm trying to avoid navigating through three or four different pages in the video or music menus just to play my file.
