I am operating OS X Version 10.8.5. I have installed Kodi - but as a total newbie, I don't know what I am doing. What I would like to do is be able to watch movies. Can anyone help an old woman get some movies? Thank you.

Kodi doesn't provide content. You can "rip" your personal collection and add it to the movie library, that is one way.
