Hello guys ,

I ve just add a gtx 950 on my HTPC under kodibuntu , all works very well , HEVC works very well too , but when I try to play this file :
http://demo-uhd3d.com/fiche.php?cat=uhd&id=126
nothing happens (kodi is trying to load but after a while , nothing happens)
I can play this video on my PC with VLC , but not on kodi Sad

You seem to have overlooked the debug_log (wiki) that might help divine what's going on in Kodi.

Unlikely to be a missing codec, as ffmpeg is up-to-date enough to cover most things, but I suppose you could perhaps be on XBMC "Camelot" or something for all anyone knows at this time Smile

like u said , wrong codec on the file I presume.

I tried this one :
http://demo-uhd3d.com/fiche.php?cat=uhd&id=119 (file ts , HEVC , almost the same)
and it works very well Wink

That's again a cut logfile. Turn on debug logging and post your complete Debug Log to a pastebin near you.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

works "perfectly" on my computer as mine does not do HEVC hw decoding it stutters, but works fine. Your 950 should smoke that one in a pipe.

The failing file is not a .ts, this seems to confuse kodi.

Renaming it to .mp4 will let kodi play it.

Kodi chooses a short analyze path for .ts to do faster channel switching :-)

Yeah, that file works, but it's an mp4

Great! Changing file extension worked for me as well!
I had the same problem with some .ts files which used to play totally fine on earlier XBMC/Kodi release. Now after a long time I tried to play those .ts files and they did not play anymore on my Kodi 16.1..
I was seeing an error log similar to that "WARNING: could not find codec parameters for..." and searching Google with that log entry brought me to this thread.
