Okay so I'm going to embarrass my self and ask for help as I know nothing about Kodi,

I bought a Mxq box off ebay with kodi already installed and more video add ons than I can count yet none of them seem to stream or load a contents list

Can someone offer any advice to where I'm going wrong?

You should probably read this blog and consider returning the box to the scammer who took your money.

Also have a read of the wiki notes on free content (wiki) and consider about quite how legal, legitimate and trustworthy any application which offers TV shows, channels and movies "for free" which you would regularly have to pay for, and anyone who knowingly sells you such a product, especially without explaining exactly what it is they are selling you.

Caveat emptor and all that...
