I still get scrapes that are stuck with the wrong version, or have trouble finding it, even when I am using a name right from IMDB. I would like to see a scraper that would work off ID.

Stick the imdb url in an nfo file, see http://kodi.wiki/view/NFO_files/Movies

I seem to recall that you can also do a manual refresh and enter the IMDB ID (the ttxxxxxx reference) there?

I'll try both. I did find a partial solution: when it's a foreign film, sometimes it helps to just name the folder with the foreign title. IMDB seems to have an easier time after that.
