Ever since I upgraded t0 15.0 I have been plagued with horizontal tearing on some video sources on 2010 nvidia 320 Mac Mini
I have scoured the forums high and low, updated my graphics drivers you name it, nothing worked, until I experimented today. I am using the standard drive from the least OS X
Go to Settings, video, playback, then:
Adjust display refresh rate: Instant/stop
-Pause during refresh rate: 0.5 Seconds
Sync playback to display: On.
The first 2 are the key but the make or break is the .5 second delay. No more tearing!!!!
