I have some my movies hosted on an external provider and they steam find via this example HTTPS://HOSTNAME.DOMAIN.COM/FILES

But using Kodi, any version 14 to 16 some of the files are not view-able via the File Manager.

I will create a HTTPS Source and the majority of the files can be seen but some just are not visible.

I have checked IE and they are their and working fine, but in Kodi the folder they reside on are just empty.

I can download them locally and see then file with the same folder structure.

I was told by my hosting company that it is a BUG with Kodi and HTTP steaming and due to the file name some how.

Any experience this.

I have tried to connect to the same hosted provider using SSH but it always fails to connect, but I really want to use HTTPS.

I recall something about the version of libertmp(?) used by Kodi 16 that doesn't allow HTTPS. But I thought that was just for Android. I would Google, Kodi HTTPS stream. You may find your answer there. Or others may be able to help.
