Hello everybody!
Is there a way to start kodi with a specific settings-folder?
The default location for the kodi user-settings under osx is "/Users/<your_user_name>/Library/Application Support/Kodi/".
I want to use different settings AND addons/plugins!
(The option under kodi itself with different profiles does not work out quite well as all profiles still use the same addon folder)
The only way to keep things really separated is by using different user-settings-folders located under "/Users/<your_user_name>/Library/Application Support/".
eg:
/Library/Application Support/KodiA,
/Library/Application Support/KodiB or
/Library/Application Support/KodiC.
Wanting to start kodi with the settings stored in eg KodiB, I always have to rename the settings-folder to "/Users/<your_user_name>/Library/Application Support/Kodi/" before starting kodi.
Is there a way to to tell kodi beforehand to start with a specific settings-folder
Under linux there is a way to use flags: eg for the chrome browser:
"To do this, add the --user-data-dir flag to chrome, like this: chrome --user-data-dir=/path/to/foo"
Any help is greatly appriciated!
Thanx
