Win Jarvis 16.1 Screen gets suddenly black - DXGI error.

It might be that in settings you need 'expert mode' on to see it.
Quote:"go to software rendering and toggle DXVA2 to off position". There is no such toggle!?

No, expert mode is on. All settings which I described in my last posting , I made in skin Confluence window 'Video Settings'. I am testing Jarvis 16.1.

Here is a screenshot you can see what I have done: https://filedropper.com/filemanager/publ...c06http://

Screenshot NOTE A. All possible(4) options tried.
Screenshot NOTE B: Always set to off.

This should work https://filedropper.com/filemanager/publ...c06http://

Is there a KODI like opportunity to share screenshots?

but not to-day.

Just post a clean debug log posted to http://xbmclogs.com/ (after the paste you need to go to the bottom of the page of that web site and click 'post' then grab the URL link) but I suspect that your graphic card just isn't comparable with Jarvis (the fact that you don't seem to find DXVA2 is kinda telling. Without the debug log, I'd refer you back to a Isengard 15.2 build which supports DX9

Ok, copy the link below to your browser and try it again:

A clean log is here: http://www.xbmclogs.com/pknbzbu69

I think you misunderstand me. I find DXVA2 on the video settings page, but I 'm not sure if we talk about the same. Setting this option to off is without any positive effect, the error still occurs. Please have a look to the screenshot ...... if you can access them.

Your link works now, and there's nothing suspicious I can see, did this log have the issue (looks like you're closing it down)? and it was set for software rendering? The only thing I saw was the last entry of ERROR: dllFreeLibrary which would mean some sort of corruption or missing DLL perhaps necessitating re-install.

The error with this thread is busy you can see in the pasted log in line 1599. Here again for clarification:

15:10:48 T:1936 ERROR: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED

This error causes a abnormal behavior by KODI. The behavior in error case is, like I said, different, can be a crash. To understand the screenshot, and what I have done to locate and isolate the error, you should refer again to my previous postings. The 'dllFreeLibrary error' I know since at least Helix and is without any problem for me.

If you need more error logs and dumps, I can submit this.

Intel gfx you really should just buy a cheap NVidia card and solve this problem the easy way.

Thank you Derek. Yes I'm already thinking about it. Anyway Kodi should be able to work with a standard MS/Intel hardware configuration. Sad At the moment I am not shure what I should do. Perhaps an upgrade to win 8.1 is the better solution?
