Video add-ons, Get More... then the error displays, Error: Exception caught on main loop. Exiting
Kodi has stop working, closed the program.
It runs on Windows 10

The exception is just a catch all, indicating you have a problem (just in case you didn't know). You don't have a lot of information in the message to point at anything, so this is a request for a proper debug log posted to a public paste-bin and linked back to this thread. Pls replicate the issue, in the crash and that's the debug log we want to see. BTW: can you go to settings>add-ons>install from repository>Kodi add-on repository>video add-ons>pick one (what happens?)

I followed your instructions, and it worked. After that, I went to Video>Add-ons>Get More..and it works as well.
I didn't have any problem with the previous versions; except 16.0 and 16.1

I see the same error when trying to obtain movie information by right clicking on an MKV file under Videos--> Files. I will figure out how to get a good debug log - and how to post it - and come back with a fresh post.
