It really depends on how you want to use the pi.

You can overclock the Pi2 to get around the same performance as a Pi3.

With the Pi3 you get built-in WIFI (2.4 GHz only) plus "coming soon" USB and PXE network boot .

If warranty is of concern to you, it would be worthwhile checking what precisely you get with "used like new".

Personally I would pay the extra and go for the Pi3 (I already have 2x pi2, and 1x Pi3)
