Video Playback lagging after few seconds
#1
Hi,
I have a Pi 2 running Raspbian Jessie (overclocked on 1000MHz, memory split: 512mb). I didnt have an issue for some weeks, until it suddenly started lagging during a video. Now after 20 sec playback it always lags, when streaming from my Ubuntu server (ext4 fs, nfs) over lan. Youtube works fine. Reducing to 720p and using OMXPlayer didnt solve the problem.

Logs:

Edit: Deactivating DVDPlayer didnt solve the problem

gpu_mem=512 is overkill. Set it to 256 to avoid possibility of arm running low on memory.
Always enable debugging before capturing a log.

However if it just started happening without a change to kodi then it might be the network or ubuntu server that is to blame.
Can you try playing the same file locally? (copy it to sdcard or usb stick attached to pi)

I fixed it, but dont know how. It was a network issue. Restarting everything didnt help, maybe pairing DLAN Kits was the solution.

But I am still confused, why it was fast enough to stream YT and South Park in 1080p, but not for 576p vids from local server
