I have a slideshow running on a pi. It shows pictures from a specified directory. If I add new pictures to the directory those new pictures aren't picked up until I restart the slide show. Without separately monitoring the folder, killing kodi and restarting in a script, is there an alterative way of getting the pictures picked up

I'm not sure if there is a better solution that restarting kodi periodically from a cron job.
