Disc-Art for movies ?
#1
How must the directory structure look like and what name should the disc-art have for movies ?

My structure looks like this, but no discart is shown:

<d> movies
---- <d> X-Men 1
--------- <d> extrafanart
--------- <d> extrathumbs
--------- X-Men 1.mkv
--------- X-Men 1.nfo
--------- fanart.jpg
--------- poster.jpg
--------- cdart.png
--------- disc.png
--------- logo.png
---- <d> Titanic
--------- <d> extrafanart
--------- <d> extrathumbs
--------- Titanic.mkv
--------- Titanic.nfo
--------- fanart.jpg
--------- poster.jpg
--------- cdart.png
--------- disc.png
--------- logo.png

Run http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=114633and set it to use only local files, i dont think Kodi sets discart by default

Indeed, you need artwork downloader to scrape the artwork into the Kodi database, it won't pick up the artwork automatically.

Thank you, I just hoped that an additional add-on wouldn't be necessary, especially as Artwork Downloader is my 'favorite' add-one, right after CD-Art-Manager...

You can setup Artwork downloader to only use local artwork and not download any new stuff, that is pretty safe

Well, as Komplex explained I set it to use only local files, for most of the movies the add-on followed this setting, for other movies it downloaded the extra fanarts although they already existed... Heaven knows why... But yes, it's working like a charm. Why had nobody told me about this fantastic function ;-) ?

You can also use something like Ember to sync your local files with Kodi
