Hi,

I have some trouble with the EPG and KODI. I hope you will be able to help me

My configuration :
Windows 7 with Jarvis (or Helix 14.2 ) 16.2
HD Homerun tuner configured with WMC tuner in FRANCE
PVR WMC Server configured on the same host
PVR WMC Client configured

Under KODI, all channel are fine, but for some of them, i don't have EPG information, it's "not available"
What i see i that the time information is not good : 01 01 1970 ....

Under WMC, i have the EPG working fine, but something it's empty too.

When i forced the update EPG info (either kodi nor wmc), sometime it work, sometime not
When i switch to one of these channel with no EPG, sometime EPG is refreshed, sometime not.

Do you have any idea on how to do to get EPG working fine ?

I tryed to use XML TV guide (kazer.org) with Bigscreen EPG to configure correctly EPG in WMC, and then import in KODI, but doesn't work very good

How do you do ? Is there a French guy in the room ??

Hi,

I'm not in France, but I know that if the channel's EPG data is in WMC, but not in Kodi, you should reset the Kodi TV database, that should fix it. If the data is not in wmc either then there isn't anything serverwmc/kodi can do, you need to fix the problem with the EPG data and wmc. Maybe the wmc forums will be a better help for this problem and you'll get input from others in France.

When you say that kazer and Bigscreen 'didn't work very good', do you mean they didn't work in wmc? or that the import to Kodi didn't work?

In the past i used Kazer to generate the xml file and big screen to update the xml in WMC, but the product is no longer developped / support under new windows version. It's hard to configure, i need to schedule task and sometime they didn't launch...

I'm looking for 2 ways to get EPG fully functionnaly :

- With WMC : does anyone know how to configure another XML source for EPG ?
- Directly under Kodi : is there a way to bypass the ServerWMC update with the EPG and provide a XML File to kodi and map the channel list correctly ?

The WMC community is died, everybody use KODI

For wmc you can look at epgcollector (https://sourceforge.net/projects/epgcollector/)

Kodi requires backend software to do pvr, but there are lots of alternatives to using wmc, check out the kodi pvr wiki.

yes, but when you have an hdhomerun , there are not so much alternative.
