Changing Licensing of an Addon
#1
As I'm updating some of my addons, I'm thinking about changing to use GPLv3 instead of v2 (mostly for some of the new license terms). Is there going to be an issue with that in terms of people upgrading (or anything else) or can I just change the necessary files (addon.xml LICENSE.txt, etc) and submit it to the repo?

unless you're the sole contributor to each of those addons,
the main hurdle will be to get permission from each and everyone
who's ever contributed code to change the license.

Thanks for the link. I'll take a closer look. I suspect at the end it's probably more trouble than the small advantage gains. I know the last guy who worked the project is kind of a trouble maker. Wink
