I just got a G-Box with the intention of using solely for streaming content from a Windows 7 PC set up with an SMB share. I am connected via Ethernet, 50MB/s download speeds tested on Kodi. Files/folders were added successfully. Every movie I try to play buffers for awhile upfront and then buffers every 5 seconds, never fully playing the video. I've adjusted playback settings in Kodi, tried the easy advanced setting cache optimization, tried another hdd on the server, updated to latest version of Kodi, and streaming is still choppy/buffering. I have read a lot in this through thee Internet and have tried most everything I have found, and am hoping you guys have more things I can try before I give up and return the G-Box.
