Win Keyboard suggestion

So my Logitech k400r just died. I have a zotak box and use the keyboard/mouse from the couch. Any suggestions for a good replacement? I mainly use kodi, iTunes, occasionally Firefox.

I love love love my Logitech K810 for the living room htpc. http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Bluetooth...B0099SMFVQ

If they made a version with a trackpad it would be just about perfect. As it is I live with a wireless mouse since I don't need to use it very much anyway.

I will need a track pad. The k400r is awkward to hold/pickup without inadvertently pressing a key.

I use one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00DUUF250/

Nice and small and does the job well. I picked this one as I like the WIN key on it that lets me swap back to Windows via the Start Menu. Or the WIN+E WIN+D WIN+1 etc shortcuts.

Still pickup the K400 on occasions. Can't beat it for that Full Size feel.

I do like how the next, prev, ff, rw are separate for you, finding those in dim lights is tricky, I had to stick big letters over the k400 keys to find them. It does look a bit "gamey" for me.

I used to use the k400r but needed backlit keys for media room.

It's a very nice keyboard.

I tried a K830 and liked it, but a couple things prevented me from loving it---

1. The backlight wasn't proximity-sensitive so it was always on, unlike the k810 which only lights up when your hand approaches it. Since I tend to prefer darkness when I'm watching something or gaming, it got to be a little irritating after a while.

2. I'm not really a fan of form over function, but the k810 looks and feels like a much more premium device to me. The other keyboards are a bit plasticy (that should be a word) and creaky.

Really though, it's a fine keyboard/trackpad and I suspect most people will be happy with it depending on need. Just give me a K810 with a trackpad, Logitech!!!!

The backlight on the k830 only comes on when you press a key or use the trackpad. If you don't press anything for a few seconds, it turns off. I'm not sure why yours stayed on.

Also from all the keyboards I've handled, the k830 feels very premium. It might be made of plastic vs. metal, but there's nothing cheapy about it. It's a perfect keyboard if you require a trackpad. Just my 2 cents Smile

I use the K830 also, and the only thing I would change is to put an adjustment to delay the time the backlight turns off. I'd like it to stay on longer. It's a bit pricey, but great for Kodi, IMHO.

Pricy? I'll say, its $60 more than the k400. I just got another k400. I like the update to the color, but the arrow keys are smaller.
